Shangjie Youlan’s Commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 global
development goals established by the United
Nations. They continue to guide global development work from 2015 to 2030,
following the expiration of the Millennium
Development Goals (MDGs) for the 2000–2015 period.
On September 25, 2015, the UN Sustainable Development Summit was held at the UN
headquarters in New York, where the 193
member states officially adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These
goals aim to comprehensively address
development issues across the three dimensions of society, economy, and
environment from 2015 to 2030, transitioning the
world onto a sustainable development path.
